They pull us away from living a life of wonder.
When we’re fearful or anxious, we’re scanning for danger
not for joy. Our minds are conditioned to look for real or
perceived threats in an attempt to protect us. But this
doesn’t actually protect us. It keeps us trapped in our
heads.
What we feed will grow, and what we look for becomes
more obvious. If our minds lean toward anxiety or fear,
they become stumbling blocks that keep us from
experiencing wonder.
When our schedules are packed so tightly that we rush
from one appointment to the next, leaving no room for
pause or interruption, we block ourselves from wonder.
When we hit snooze, then sprint out the door and speed to
work, we’re not living in wonder.
When we focus on what others have and what we believe
we lack. we’re not living a joyful life of wonder.
So… Here’s what I want us to practice this week.
Let’s redirect our minds from anxiety and fear toward joy
and presence.
Let’s bring our awareness back into our bodies not in the
past where depression often lives, not in the future where fear and anxiety thrive, but right here in the present
moment.
Let’s look at our schedules and calendars and intentionally
create blank spaces. Let’s build in downtime between
appointments so we’re not so crammed full that we can’t
breathe, pause, or enjoy the view.
Let’s stop comparing ourselves to others.
We are unique, one‑of‑a‑kind, beautiful, magical beings.
We already have everything we need to live a life of awe
and wonder. The world doesn’t need a fake carbon copy of
someone else, it needs you and me stepping into our own
becoming, our own power, and making a difference in our
families, workplaces, and communities.
If this resonates with you—if you’re thinking, “Yes, yes, and
yes… this sounds amazing, but I’m not sure how to get
from where I am now to living a life of freedom on my
terms” reach out. I have a few life‑coaching spots opening
in April, and I’d love to schedule a free consultation call
with you.
I wonder… will you make this year the best year of your
life?
